Hunter's Photo Shoot with Aunt Jem

We recently did a photo shoot with Aunt Jem. Hunter did not want to cooperate, but Aunt Jem says that for 3 weeks old Hunter did really well. She was able to capture some adorable shots. More to come later.

Avoiding the Illness

We are currently trying to keep Hunter from the cold and flu viruses that are circulating. His cousins are quite ill and we hope that the time spent together at Thanksgiving does not spread the germs. Hunter is doing well. He had a visit from his Grandma and Grandpa McKinney a week ago. He is growing and changing every day. We'll post new pics soon!

Welcome Hunter Ray McKinney!

Well today was the day! Hunter Ray graced us with his presence at 3:40p.m. He weighed in at 6 pounds 2 ounces and was 19 inches (almost). He is blonde and adorable. Mommy caved on the epidural and decided drugs were good. So she was feeling pretty good throughout the ordeal once the epidural kicked in. While Aunt Jem (Jenn) took photographs, Aunt Chelle videotaped. During the birth the most amazing thing happened, everyone in the room started hearing frog sounds. "Ribbit, Ribbit." We all looked at each other while the nurse said, "You are not having a frog." It turns out that the Doctor's ringtone on his cell phone is frogs croaking. Pretty hilarious!!! The family is not scheduled to be home until Thursday. If you have any visits planned be sure to bring plenty of hand sanitizer as Mommy and Daddy are paranoid of germs.

Baby Update

Well we are right on schedule for baby delivery. It is now the middle of October and Hunter's room is ready. Now only if his mommy would get on the ball and get his clothing and bedding washed and ready. We are still looking at a Thanksgiving delivery. Mommy is finally starting to look pregnant and is now wearing flats instead of incredibly high heels. Isn't that just practical? The family is still waiting for mommy to not be able to see her feet. It will be a hoot!

Welcome

Welcome to the first edition of the McKinney Report. We are Melissa and Tad McKinney. Right now we have two adorable additions to our family, Grizzly and Harley, but we have an addition of the human kind on the way. As we await the arrival of Hunter Ray (yes, it's a boy), we are taking in the moments. Tad recently celebrated his 43rd birthday in Sturgis with his motorcycle club, Soldier's for Jesus. Melissa is furiously working to get as much done as she can before the baby comes. We will be taking a trip to National with the motorcycle club at the end of August. We have a few months to get everything in order before Hunter comes. We'll keep you updated as we travel this road of life's journey.
